Croatia 2024!
This will be our second trip to Croatia. We enjoyed it so much on the last trip, we’ve decided to go back and see even more! This part of Croatia reminds us of sailing of the Central Coast of California. Rolling hills and mountains, covered in various types of trees, lots of orchards and vineyards, spectacular shorelines and islands and just so much history. And the sailing is great too!
We’ve chartered two 50 foot monohulls for two weeks of exploring the islands near Split. The weather will be mild, the local food is fantastic, people are super nice and it’s easy to communicate with everybody. This could be the travel poster for Mediterranean climate, diet and fun. We will experience a nice mix of remote anchorages, ancient cities, small villages, hidden coves and modern amenities. There will be plenty of time to explore ashore enjoy delicious meals and wander around castles and fortified cities that are thousands of years old.
A favorite memory from last time was an elderly gentleman in a tiny boat, visiting the boats in our anchorage, offering bottles of wine for sale from his family vineyard. It was really good but made even better for the experience. It’s all like that when you slow down and enjoy small places. We hope you join us so we can share with you too.
WHERE WE’LL GO
We will have enough time to get as far south as Dubrovnic. Possible stops may include: Split, Brac, Hvar, Vis, Korcula, Mlit, Dubrovnic and lots of hidden spots along the way. It’s so fun to explore and find new things!
We will be in some remote coves, where we can explore by dinghy and enjoy a sunset meal onboard. It’s always fun to walk around the towns we visit, pet a stray cat, talk to the shop owners, poke through the farmer’s markets, sample cheeses and local treats and have dinner in an 800 year old restaurant.
We will organize group dinners some nights, let you wander to find your own special dinner, and you can always count on our delicious meals onboard.
WHAT WE’LL DO
You can wander the towns, visit historical sites, enjoy a walk and lunch ashore, check out a local museum, enjoy cheese tasting, shop.... There are options to rent SUP’s for an additional fee as well. Please let us know in advance if you are interested. Many of the stops are very walkable with lot’s of history to explore and a few museums to check out.

Meet Us There
We depart from, and return to Trogir and will explore towns and villages along the way. We typically make one or two stops a day to see the sights, or try a local delicacy, and of course, stop every night to explore a town or anchorage. There is plenty of time to shop or visit churches and museum if you like, or sit in a bistro, or try some cheese or relax on the boat. It’s up to you.
We board our boat at 4:30 PM on September 14th in Trogir. This means most of the first day is spent sightseeing Split and Trogir. The marina’s where we pick up the boats are very busy as all charters go out and come back the same day. Please plan on being patient as you may have to wait to board until we can find everyone and load our groceries. We will be spending the first night at the dock and plan on going out to eat for our welcome dinner so we can all meet. The next morning we will leave the dock and set sail for our adventure!
ACCOMMODATIONS.
Every boat is different but we all have shared cabins. Some cabins are similar to a Queen sized bed and some are two single bunks, either side by side or one over the other. Bathrooms, or heads are either shared or attached to a cabin. Sometimes both. Each cabin has storage cabinets or shelves for your belongings, but they are not house sized and you will need to keep your luggage in your cabin, so a soft duffle bag works best. There is absolutely no room for hard or oversized luggage.
Tastes of the Adriatic.
