Captain Patsee Ober
Patsee was born and raised in Newport Beach, CA and started her sailing career at 5 as crew for the older sailors at their yacht club. That was all it took and sailing has been in her blood ever since. Patsee’s passion for the water has been spent as a sailboat racer, charter captain, sailing and maritime instructor, delivery captain, yacht sales person, marine insurance broker, collegiate sailing coach, cruiser and underwater photographer. As a mariner true to her love for all things ocean, her quest also involves volunteering her knowledge to help save our oceans. She has owned 5 sailboats and have worked with Mahalo Sailing for several years and many charters around the world. Her 100 T Captain licenses has followed her around for over 40 Years! She has a crazy dog, Paco who was rescued and sailed home by Holly, during a delivery from Mexico. She lives in Laguna Beach and is active in the art world with her ‘other profession’, underwater photography. This will be her 6th Rendezvous and she looks forward to seeing you on the water!

Captain Paulette Bergh
Paulette fell in love with sailing in her early 20’s when she took a sailing course in the Apostle Islands of Lake Superior. That love led to sailing adventures throughout the Caribbean, Viet Nam, Thailand, Belize, Sea of Cortez, French Polynesia, the San Juan Islands, and the Inside Passage to Alaska. Eventually her avocation turned into her vocation. An ASA certified instructor, she taught sailing for over 20 years and directed one of the largest sailing schools on the west coast for several years. Over time she branched out to powerboating and now teaches seamanship and maneuvering on powerboats up to 60 feet as well. Paulette loves to share her love for boating wherever that takes her. She resides in Bellingham, Washington where the San Juan Islands are at her front door!

Captain Liz Baylis
Liz started her sailing career at an early age in the classic high winds venue of San Francisco Bay. She still calls the Bay her home and has accumulated over 35,000 offshore miles. Her voyages have included many victorious TransPac and Pacific Cup races from California to Hawaii as well as sailing with and coaching the Omani women’s offshore team in Sailing Arabia - The Tour. During the 2000 America's Cup, she served on the San Francisco Yacht Club-flagged America True sailing team. Liz is probably best known for her match racing accomplishments as a skipper, which include the 2002 Women's Match Racing World Championship title and multiple national and international wins. Her offshore and match racing success were recognized in 2002 when she received the US Rolex Yachtswoman of the Year award. As the Women's International Match Racing Association (WIMRA) Executive Director, she led the campaign to include women's match racing in the 2012 Olympics. Liz continues to promote the sport around the world by teaching clinics and running regattas. In 2013, WIMRA successfully launched the first professional match racing series for women with Liz taking the role of Series Race Manager. As the Chairman of the World Sailing Match Racing Committee for two terms, Liz had a key role in the administration of the sport of sailing. After catching the coastal cruising bug with trips to the Virgin Islands and New England, Liz and her husband, Todd, bought their own cruising boat in 2017, a Sabre 425. They have mixed in cruising while Liz still works in Public Health Virology and actively races.
